Missed your grades or want to change up? We still have some space on our Medical Biosciences programmes. If you feel a little lost you can find your home with us 🏡👨🎓♥️ Looking forward to talking to you 🙂 #clearing
@BlockleyDr Aww, bless him. Had hoped he'd been living it up with a kind old lady being spoilt rotten. Hopefully he won't be keen to go walkabout again
@helenjordan_ As not enough G7 posts. Many project grants are still £300k max, makes it difficult to get G7 salary plus consumables needed to run the project.
@helenjordan_ Bottom of grade 7 is only just below this. When the single spine was first introduced a job that required a PhD was a G7 but it seems over the years a lot of institutions started putting postdocs on G6. It may at least bring some equity but many postdoc have to apply for g6 roles
Come chat with @UChicagoGGSB doctoral student Niyati Jain at #ASHG23. She will present her work on DNA methylation correlates of aging in diverse tissue types using samples from @GTExPortal. Saturday poster session PB2254.
Variation in telomere length (TL) is associated with human disease and aging. In our new preprint, we identify novel genetic determinants of TL using whole-genome sequence data from ~500K @uk_biobank participants

Excited to share my work w/ @Agarwal_Lab identifying that thymidine nucleotide metabolism controls human #telomere length, now published @NatureGenet. https://t.co/piXBABFCfu
