Један од највећих српских сликара, Сава Шумановић, мученички је убијен у Сремској Митровици од стране усташа у окупираној Југославији. Ухапшен је у раним јутарњим сатима на Велику Госпојину, 28. августа 1942. године, у својој кући у Шиду.Одведен је заједно са око 150 угледних Срба, занатлија и сељака из Шида током такозване Томићеве акције.После хапшења и притвора у Шиду, затвореници су пребачени у Сремску Митровицу.Након бруталног мучења, стрељани су у ноћи између 29. и 30. августа 1942. године код старог православног гробља у Сремској Митр��вици,њему су одсечене шаке и бачен је у Саву. Зашто су му одсекли шаке? након успостављања НДХ забрањена је употреба ћирилице а он је своја дела потписивао ћирилицом.кад су увели забрану,он је престао да потписује слике јер није хтео да их потписује латиницом,стављао је само датум...то му усташе нису опростиле!

To everyone calling my people criminals, genocidal, primitive or poor:

Serbia lived under the Ottoman rule for centuries. In the First World War we lost 1.25 million people.

In the Second, the Ustaše slaughtered close to million Serbs in concentration camps - something this world still prefers not to acknowledge or sit with.

In the 1990s tens of thousands of Serbs were killed in Bosnia and Croatia, (thousands of them civilians) and hundreds of thousands were exiled from their homes. In Kosovo more than 200,000 Serbs were ethnically cleansed and over 150 churches were burned in addition of thousands of lives lost.

Serbia is a small nation. We paid a high price for our existence but we survived. That cost is written in graves from Jasenovac to Krajina, Republika Srpska to Kosovo and Metohija, and many more.

Yet our dead don’t exist in your story.

It is my ancestors bones and skulls that built the villages and towns which were burned, bombed and emptied again and again. It is because of them I am vocal against stigma and media hatred towards my people.

This post isn’t about sympathy. Before you point fingers at Serbs, make sure your hands are clean.

@SerbEagleAI Mladic stopped the Islamic takeover of all of Bosnia; not alone did he fight Al Qaeda, El Mujahid & Iranian jihadis; he had 58 Muslim countries against him as well as NATO
and every country in Europe and of course the US Clinton cabal which started the war.
