Вообще, я в той поликлинике получил хорошую прививку, как же врачи там ебашат.

My take on Episode 8 of #TheRingsOfPower #RingsOfPower and in general of the second season.

- I thought the season finale was phenomenal.
- It lays the groundwork for what (I hope) is to come in the following seasons.
- No, it doesn't deserve the hate it's getting.
- The series is epic, visually lavish and well acted.
- I repeat: #Sauron/#Annatar is a real HDP, a great villain.
- #CharlieVickers great as Sauron. You hate him because you have to hate him.
- Standout, by far and throughout the series, from the first episode of the first season, the phenomenal #soundtrack by @bearmccreary. No current series has that extra character that the soundtrack becomes.
- Too bad for #Adar. He deserved a better fate.
- From the first episode I loved seeing a young, impetuous, warrior-like, somewhat stubborn and reckless #Galadriel, because I know she grows into someone wise, mature and powerful. But she had to go through those experiences. Delighted with what @MorfydClark has done.
- #Elrond and the #Elves, generally speaking, come across as a bit less arrogant than in #PeterJackson's films. And there's a certain logic to it: by the following eras they've been through a lot and perhaps have become wiser, but tougher.

That said, the hate that the series has had seems to me to be caused by something that unredeemed fans (or many casual ones) don't see or don't want to understand: the spirit of #Tolkien's work is present everywhere.

Mind you, I said the spirit of his work, not the aforementioned 'lore' or canon. We cannot forget that Tolkien had strong #Christian beliefs and those are present throughout his work.

Themes such as love, friendship, kindness, the good of others, the fight against dark forces, the pride of angelic beings, the representation of hell, the sin of man and a very long etcetera.

Everything is there: #Sauron=#Satan, #Orcs/#Uruk=#fallenangels, #Mordor=#hell, #Elves=#angels, etc., etc.) As long as you do not understand or do not want to see that those elements, that those beliefs/references are in the series -as well as in Jackson's movies- you will never enjoy and you will hate it irrationally.

And I'm talking about thematics, not particularities as has happened in the #StarWars universe (midichlorians, saber fighting styles, race/species ages, etc). That's why #RingsOfPower is fantastic, because (even if you don't accept it) it doesn't do violence to THE SPIRIT of Tolkien's work.

Too bad we have to wait two more years for the third installment. @PrimeVideo has scored a phenomenal win that must go on.
