@Immaculata_City Interesting idea. As far as I know, Scotus himself never came under censure (Sutton reports a bishop ordered him to change his views on the constitution of persons, but there is no record of this beyond Sutton's comment). But Scotus' exile was not based on his personal views.

Tolkien’s Modern Reading is one of the best books I’ve read this year. Ordway masterfully punctures the myth that Tolkien only read medieval lit, revealing his debt to Nesbit, Lang, Haggard, Morris & many others. If you want to write a great book, you have to read a lot!

Everley is one of my favorite girl names because it’s from eoforlēh, the Old English for a clearing where wild boars live. It’s also what eoforlīċ, the Old English for a boar crest Germanic warriors used to wear on their helmets, would be had it survived to today.

@Postulliok @Immaculata_City de facto this is true, in fact Augustine is also just a footnote to Aquinas. But this also the effects of 19th c. political movements in catholicism; I am hopefule the other parts of the tradition will return to contemporary discourse.
