Elysium is a shit movie.
Not only is it boring af, but it's a depiction of suicidal white altruism.
The bad whites in orbit vs the brown masses. In the movie the rich whites escaped the brown slums and advanced technology. This is portrayed as an unfair privilege for whites in space. Keeping near magical medical abilities from the poor browns on Earth is shown as morally bad.
Matt Damon, the avatar for 'good' whites, grows up in a mexican slum and ends up sacrificing himself (the white race) to make every dirty brown a citizen of Elysium, thus giving them privileges to the magical medical technology, and enabling Elysium to keep its indian president, thus handing over white inventions and civilization to the dirty masses.
All of the white characters that want to protect their own end up dead.
