@ShawnIsDynamite@jelsberry91@BuzzPatterson@netanyahu Yes, we provide assistance. They spend it with our manufacturers. If you have a problem with that, and you see no benefit from the relationship between these two countries, that's what elections are for. No one is going to convince you otherwise, I don't doubt.
They will not go easily, Shawn. They plan for the possibility of such a day.
Israel spends most of what it receives from the US on military equipment purchased from US manufacturers, benefiting American businesses.
Per Grok: Nearly all (over 95% in recent years, approaching 100% soon) of the core US military aid to Israel—primarily Foreign Military Financing (FMF)—is required to be spent on US-made military equipment, services, training, planes, weapons, and related systems.
What an insane take on the situation. Iran isn't going to wipe Israel off the map, although I'm guessing you'd be ok with that. Israel will not be defeated that easily. Netanyahu is doing his best to eliminate as much of the danger to Israel as he can. That's his job. He sees what is coming in US politics and Israel will increasingly work towards independence from American assistance.
If the regime in Iran is not eliminated, all of the western world will feel the effects in the longer run. If the US can't see that, Israel will do what it can to protect itself and we, as usual, benefit.
By the way, I'm doubting you can speak for what "Jews worldwide" would think about anything.
@Thebadass197@bronzebust Even earlier. I grew up there in the 60's. Some of the area is for the Crystal Springs Reservoir serving SF and the Peninsula.
@nolifekait@thirty3i8ght@julijinko@PardesSeleh Nuance isn't your thing, it would appear. I never justified the husband's acts. I commented that the daughter didn't seem all that affectionate to her Mom given the circumstances. I also think that the Mom made her own choice---she had agency and free will. She chose to stay.
@thirty3i8ght@julijinko@PardesSeleh And that was, in part if not in full, her choice. She could have taken the kids and left. And what is with the insults? Truly not necessary.
Frank C, you know nothing about how insurance works here in CA. It's not like you can go out and easily buy a policy any more. Even if you manage to find one, or if you have to go to the California so-called Fair Plan, it will almost certainly cost a fortune. People are moving out of the state because the insurance cost is the last straw. I'm a lifetime Californian who lives in the Sierra foothills. God forbid if you have a fire loss. You'll spend the next 5 plus years trying to settle with the company and trying to rebuild including hassles with local governments over permits and trying to find a reputable builder that's available. Plus, the changes/upgrades to building codes making building a replacement home extremely difficult. Being fully insured for that is quite costly.
@MrNOVApolitico@KatTimpf That is pretty bitter, Tim. I'm sorry for your loss. Please consider exercising some grace to folks who are suffering their own losses.
