I needed that day off to recharge the inner battery. I still have misgivings about our sustainability and the demands of the coming football season (almost 10 months of it!) but for now I’m enjoying being present with the horses and team doing our job. Here’s Moose being Moose.
Watch Moosie arrive at our kennel-free rescue 🐕🐕 He had a challenging start in life a horrible kill shelter but this lad hasn't let that define him. To the contray he is full of optimism and happiness 😃
This was his first hour in the park - he very much likes other dogs and he is very respectful and good at reading how other dogs are feeling.
He's having a quiet one today catching up on his beauty sleep but we know those zoomies are coming...
Welcome you beautiful boy 💜
Will you just look at Stormzy go!
A little over a month ago, he was about to be put to sleep after being hit by a car & suffering brain damage.
Now look at him.
@NiallHarbison is nothing short of a miracle worker.
Meet Pepper! Many of you may recognise this little sweetheart from our stories, and some of you even helped to choose her name! Pepper was recently surrendered to us after spending most of her young life on a chain, but her fresh start begins now.
When she arrived, we noticed a skin condition that we initially thought might be mange. Our amazing vet, Madlen, now suspects it could actually be ringworm, and we're currently waiting on the test results. In the meantime, Pepper is getting soothing topical treatments to keep her comfortable while we get to the bottom of things.
Despite her difficult beginning, her need for a few hearty meals, and her irritated skin, Pepper is happy, playful, and already showering us with love!

Today is the anniversary of my pituitary brain tumour operation. My heartfelt thanks to dear Dr Metcalfe @CPDPenrhyn who recognised the symptoms, Dr Wilton @YGEDBangor who took me through the early stages and @andrepepper7 who saw me through my first fearsome MRI scan.
The £10k that you all helped to raise for Emma's 50th birthday fundraiser continues to be put to good use!
Steve is working with us over the next few weeks, lending his skills with building and maintenance, all to make the shelter an even better place for our dogs.
Of course, in between the hard work, he's finding plenty of time for puppy cuddles (the best employee perk of working at Street Hearts!)

They are fabulous coats from @HueyandClive
Made to measure & lined with snuggly teddy fleece they keep us so warm & cosy
We met a very handsome sprocker called Gus yesterday, his mum admired them & commented on the length as Gus is long bodied- she was thrilled when mum told her they are bespoke - Gus’ mum said most coats are like crop tops on him 🤣🤣
We gave her the details, so hopefully next time we meet he’ll be in a Huey&Clive coat too
We wonder what colour he’ll choose?
Sienna has made a lot of progress in 72 hours. I’m very proud of her.
Because her body was fighting so hard on the streets she has now started sleeping 23 hours a day with us.
She feels safe but she is exhausted. That might be a tiny bit of hope I see in her eyes ❤️
Moosie arrived at midnight last night. Somehow he just knew life has just got a whole lot better. Then he met the gang today. Just magical and of course there will be a video. Welcome special boy 😍
"Didya hear that I'm going home next week? I get to ride in a BIG van (#VanLife!) with sixteen of my friends, and we're going on a European road trip to NINE countries! I'm gonna be such a jetsetter for a four-month-old!"
"I was feelin' a little nervous about the whole thing, but my human friends say I'm going to be just fine because I’m so "sassy" (I prefer 'confident', but whatevs!)"
"I can't wait to meet my new family in Gloucestershire… wherever that is!" – Cynthia.

The UK Covid-19 Inquiry has found that the response of the UK government was a repeated case of ‘too little, too late'. Thousands died unnecessarily because of their inability to do the job they'd been entrusted to do.

Hey, hoomans! It's me, Goose! Just popping my snoot in to tell you that there's only a tiny bit of time left to join the Street Hearts BG Virtual Balloon Race!
It closes at midnight TONIGHT, and I don't want you to miss your chance to win some super fancy prizes. Plus, every balloon you buy helps my pals in Bulgaria get the rescue, care, and snip-snips they need.
For just £3, you can pick your balloon, name it something pawsome, and watch it zoom off! And the prizes… oh boy:
✨ Beauty advent calendars from M&S, Next, and The Body Shop.
🐶 Treat-filled festive boxes from the Aaran Dog Bakery for your doggos (approved by me, Goose).
So, hurry! Shake your tail, tap this link (https://t.co/gFxXFryjdg), and get your balloons before the clock strikes midnight!
Good luck, hoomans! I'm rooting for you with my whole waggy butt!

I had no idea he’d be coming to surprise me at the start of the Marathon. The team @wearehappydoggo planned it all.
Look at what a happy little healthy hippo he is now ❤️
Love you Maximus and thanks for the support
Adoptions are always bittersweet. As much as our hearts soar when a Street Heart finds their furever family, a part of us breaks a little, too.
We pour everything we have into these dogs… our time, our energy, our love. Some stay with us for months, others for years, and in that time, they become woven into our everyday lives. We learn their quirks, their fears, their joys. We bond. We love them deeply. So, while we celebrate their new beginnings, there are almost always a few tears when it's time to let them go.
Our care doesn't end the moment they leave our arms. We stay connected with adopters through our private Facebook group, and our Adoption Contract asks for at least one yearly update, although many families share far more. Some even let us follow along on social media, giving us the gift of seeing our Street Hearts thriving, playing, and living the lives they always deserved.
Goodbye may break our hearts a little, but love is worth that ache. Until that moment arrives, we spend every precious minute with them, just as Emma is doing with Tom and Jerry this week.
