@VenkmanProject my kids are temporarily too old for the phoenix but my daughter remembered my squidbits love this birthday! Thanks for making them, they are ace 🐙⭐
I'm pretty sure there's a whole generation of us who were formed in one way or another by the film A Room With A View, and here, after the terribly sad and untimely death of Julian Sands, I tried to write about why I love it so. https://t.co/rMaipKQO63
@chilternrailway What a laugh! Just nearly steamed alive on the 16.08 Warwick to Marylebone train as no air con at all, and tell me where I can buy water at Warwick please?
9 days of #strikes - 181,935 hrs of learning lost & disrupted. We respectfully call on @LSFederation and @LewishamNeu to uphold your duty: protect a child’s right to education, return to negotiations, end the deadlock & get kids back to school.

@WanderingSal I like it. Makes teaching the kids the history easy. Reminds you you're not immune to world events. It's very London, isn't it, that old cheek to cheek with newer thing. Just like all the old houses now have box loft extensions because noone can afford to move. History in action.
@katejlovell Depends on the rejection, but I try to treat each rejection as a landmark on the way to success. I draw a tick on my whiteboard for every rejection and pretend to celebrate it (if I'm feeling really focussed. Other times I have a little cry instead).

@PhilipPullman Learned this from Enid Blyton's 'Mallory Towers'. Also the word 'nurse' for nanny from AA Milne, and the idea you could be terribly poor but still have a Cook from E. Nesbit. A good education for a prole.
