This morning, Minister @Ngabitsinze received a delegation from the World Bank, the World Economic Forum, and the World Trade Organization, which is in Rwanda for the Action on Climate and Trade (ACT) scoping mission.
The team presented their preliminary findings on how Rwanda's trade policy can align with climate considerations and the Nationally Determined Contributions.
This morning, Minister @Ngabitsinze hosted a team from the World Bank, the World Economic Forum, and the World Trade Organization in a debrief session on their Action on Climate and Trade (ACT) scoping mission.
I had a fruitful meeting with Hon. Minister @Ngabitsinze, the WB, and @RwandaTrade team to discuss Action on Climate and Trade(ACT). This initiative, in collaboration with @wef & @wto, aims to help developing economies use trade to achieve climate adaptation and mitigation goals.
With the Action on Climate and Trade initiative, Rwanda will use trade policy to support climate action in a clear and systematic way. Rwanda will identify emerging risks and opportunities in the green transition and gain tools to trade competitively in cleaner sectors.
