I clocked something..
Rent is always paid for, nobody notices that the DSTV subscription hasnโt gone off since, nobody notices that the kids havenโt stayed home since they started schooling, nobody notices how the cooking gas is always filled when it finishes, notice how thereโs always light in the house even with the crazy units, thereโs always fuel in gen when thereโs no light.
Nobody appreciates the Man SPECIALLY for all these.. itโs seen as โthatโs his jobโ.. he gets no special props for it.

But the moment you ask why thereโs no food in the kitchen and/or why the kitchen is dirty..
It becomes โYou think itโs easy to cook and clean, appreciate and support herโ
Women want appreciation, support and incentives for their roles, while a Man wanting support for his own role is โnot Man enoughโ.
+ When the Man supports her role, โHeโs doing it for his familyโ
When the Woman supports his role, โSheโs doing it for HER MANโ(and not for the family)
These are the issuesโฆ
Men need to clock so many things and start speaking up more to regulate these narrativesโฆ we canโt continue keeping quiet.. na beg I dey beg una.
