@drlouisenewson @drlouisenewson - Hadn’t had a period for 18 months. Since starting the patches (3 months ago) I have had a bleed every month, with bad stomach cramps. GP has sent me for a scan. Is the bleeding normal and will it stop? I’m using Evrol Conti.

@TeachingAHT I’ve been teaching over 20 years and don’t think I’ve felt as tired as I have this summer. Term ended on the 21st and since then I’ve had end of term itus, spent 2 days sorting my new classroom and the rest of the time I’ve basically done nothing except potter around at home!

@CassHT 21st too. Only a y6 production (dress rehearsal, 2 evening performances), one leaver’s service to put together and do, finish writing reports, transition meetings with colleagues, transition afternoons with children and of course the icing on the cake… moving classrooms! 😳😬

@ehazzy @ThisisDavina So I went back and had to actually say can I have HRT. Blood pressure borderline though. I just want to have a good nights sleep (and not fall asleep on a Saturday afternoon) and not stumble over words. I’m 53 and sometimes I feel like I’m 73!

@ehazzy @ThisisDavina A year ago I had a blood test, came out with thyroid https://t.co/2BKpkF0jx7 mention of HRT.I was so in shock as wasn’t expecting thyroid that I didn’t say anything.Symptoms improved for a while but lack of sleep, itchy skin and problem finding words (I’m a teacher!) came back.

@ThisisDavina started reading your book today.After a year of telling my doctors I’m menopausal,that I didn’t feel like I was firing on all cylinders and them diagnosing under active thyroid,I’ve finally got HRT this week.I had to keep pushing and ask! It shouldn’t be this way!

Parents, if your child goes on a residential between now and the end of the year, go and give the teachers a quick thank you when you pick your child up.

You’d be amazed how little it happens, and it means a huge amount.

@stacey_birchall Often wear trainers but with arched supports inside. Stretches in the morning . Also roll foot on a frozen water bottle is good in the evening . Or a tennis ball works as well.
