Despicable cowardice. There is no reason why the decision on the approval of Jackdaw needs to be delayed any further.  It's been delayed long enough.

The dither and delay by Labour and Tory governments over these consents, along with the SNPs presumption against new oil & gas has been hugely damaging for the industry.

Let’s be clear under all scenarios the UK needs oil & gas for decades and Jackdaw is the bare minimum needed to revive our industry. 

We need to maximise our own resources to reduce imports & overall emissions and ensure that we protect jobs, tax revenue and energy security.

So, I call on Andy Burnham to show some guts and back our industry.
