@tim_cook Thank you @tim_cook for what you have done at @Apple! What a remarkable achievement!!
I'm sure you will continue to be engaged in the tech community and I can't wait to see what's next!
@mcuban@RanterMarkus There's a lot for us to learn from other countries that are doing healthcare well. Unfortunately, we have powerful lobbyists who had been misleading the citizens on how bad healthcare is elsewhere to enrich themselves.
I don’t think people realize how much healthcare costs are driving big companies to fire and not hire.
It costs them $30k per family, per year for premiums and care. Most of that goes to the massive, vertically integrated insurance companies that send weekly bills that no one reviews in details. And it doesn’t include the company overhead to deal with it all. It’s usually the 2nd largest expense after payroll. Which is insane
It’s far easier to blame AI than it is to blame Healthcare costs.
Want to increase jobs, wages and improve affordability for every American ?
Break up the biggest insurance companies. Make divest non insurance companies. They don’t need thousands of subsidiaries. That’s how they game and abuse the system and increase costs for all of us.
Call your senator and tell them to support the BreakUp Big Medicine Bill by @HawleyMO and @SenWarren.
@garrytan I agree. I think our politicians are not surgical in solving problems. Everything coming out from their mouth is spending. Whether it's homeless, transit system, etc. We need to do some real work and fix much of the broken system!
@SawyerMerritt@Tesla As someone who worked on ML, this is not true. There are many factors that are being ignored. There are real blindspots that the camera cannot see where the human can maneuver around to see. Humans also have other senses that Tesla is ignoring.
@ZacksJerryRig As a pilot, 'go arounds' are fairly common. It's safer to do so than otherwise. There could be a number of reasons that the other plane was still on the ground, not entirely ATC's lack of sleep.
@dustingardiner That's what I call common sense policies. People are demanding the fundamentals of living in a safe and prosperous society. We need to get rid of nonsensical policies that create red tapes.
