Lagos State University (LASU) proudly celebrates one of its distinguished alumni, Victory Ashaka, @VictoryAshaka who has been honoured with the Icon of Impact in Literature Award at the prestigious Lordโs Achievers Award 2025.
Ashaka, a graduate of the Department of English, Faculty of Arts, is a multi-award-winning spoken word poet, youth advisor to the European Union, climate leader, and Lagos State Youth Ambassador. His recognition at the ceremony further solidifies his place as one of Nigeriaโs most inspiring young voices shaping society through literature and advocacy.
The Lordโs Achievers Award, organised by Nigeria Distilleries Limited (NDL) and powered by Lordโs London Dry Gin, celebrates outstanding achievers across diverse fields, particularly young people whose contributions are transforming Nigeriaโs future.
The Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, congratulates Ashaka on the achievement, describing him as a shining example of LASUโs excellence. She commended his contributions to literature, youth development, and global advocacy, noting that his accomplishments reflect the Universityโs core values of excellence, service, and integrity.
