capcut's autonomous mode is a token furnace lol.

Self promo but I built VidTL for this. You can actually edit videos with it without running into crazy limits. you can easily get a 20 minute video edited fully, with lots of iteration, every week. If you run out of tokens then you can connect your claude code or codex to it and keep going. The token usage is not that bad at all when using Opus or GPT 5.6-sol (although, Astra and Fable do burn though usage quickly!)

the token massacre is crazy if you're running a general agent in a harness designed for coding and trying to connect to a tool not built for AI use via an MCP.

Self promo here, but I'd highly recommend using a tool like VidTL that was designed for AI editing so there's way less overhead, no need for lengthy system prompts about how to code, etc. You can edit roughly five 20 min. videos per month with the usage built in.. and if needed, connect your agent via any harness if you do run out of credits.
