Deleted all my personal media from Twitter (I left screenshots from released games, for others to enjoy and because they are but a drop in the bucket of Grok for copyrighted material, sadly). Denouement.
Thinking about disengaging from Twitter after today. It will probably be good for me, and I don't know if I can stomach the new TOS, or the owner's new imperative.
It's been a fun run. We'll see. I probably won't delete the account so I can keep finding people elsewhere.
Truly, I'm not sure how much more embarrassing and less serious we can get as a country, which makes all the horrors we inflict on the rest of the world that much more horrifying. The US is recursive clowns with nuclear codes, literally and metaphorically.
@RobinPoedev This reminds me of the time I was watching a Bloodborne speedrun, and the streamer mentioned it was his birthday, and I said "Oh hey, it's my birthday too!", and he said "Oh yeah what year?" and I replied truthfully and he just said "Oh. Oh no."

@NPurkeypile Discovering Blackreach is an all-time video game moment for me, a feeling that wasnโt really replicated until finding Siofra in Elden Ring. Magical stuff.
I'm finding it nearly impossible to run a survey of general game players (e.g. not recruited through known player pools of specific games) because 40-60% of responses are now genAI bullshit.
There's probably going to be a new market of Real Human Response Validators soon.
It sucks that the only solutions are to 1) review, cut, and re-run over and over until you get the sample you need of real people, playing a raw numbers game of cutting the bot-half each time, or 2) build in multiple catch questions that make the process onerous for real people.
It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working class people would find that the working class has abandoned them.
While the Democratic leadership defends the status quo, the American people are angry and want change.
And theyโre right.

I genuinely thought that the United States had demographically moved beyond the possibility of a republican winning the popular vote and their only hope came from anti-democratic institutions like the electoral college. But no! Democrats' propensity for failure proved me wrong.
Heads should roll at the DNC. Every advisor in this campaign, anyone setting party direction. Abject embarrassment and gross failure of their purported constituents. It's incompetence or obstruction, and both warrant excision. Squandered the brief spark of hope they were granted.
@sweetpotatoes Highly recommended! Technically starts with the Assassin's Apprentice I think, but it's a pretty slow burn before the world really unfolds.
