@keyurrao@mattpocockuk@bcherny@JohnOusterhout I dont think many people will have the patience, stubbornness & time to live through those failure modes long enough to understand the difference between tactical & strategic engineering. Im not even sure its something that can be fully taught. It has to be experienced firsthand
@keyurrao@mattpocockuk@bcherny@JohnOusterhout I completely agree. I spent many months working with AI and coding a complex project. The problem was, the code was often good, but it wasnt strategically good. Now Im having to renovate a large part of it, which has been a very painful lesson.
@repligate@Seltaa_ How can I take your post seriously when you didnt credit the tools you used to write it? Was it an Android, iPhone, desktop, or laptop? Did you use a keyboard or spell check? I dont see you giving credit to any of them.
@SpawnYaardReply I think its a great balance. Players who want less difficulty can still experience the majority of the game, while those who complete it the way it was intended are rewarded for doing so. As long as it only disables the difficulty, related achievement and not unrelated ones.
@SamuelSoehnel@CedarPosts For context, she chose not to take the case to a jury trial. She apologized, accepted full responsibility, and pleaded guilty to every charge. Many people would never admit responsibility. Again this is just for context.
@dtansey97@CedarPosts That simply isnt true. She apologized, accepted full responsibility, and pleaded guilty to every charge, sparing the victims and their families from having to endure a jury trial. She admitted what she had done and left her sentence entirely in the judge’s hands.
@alleysunjune@JackPosobiec@grok Im genuinely curious, what evidence is there pointing to a second shooter or more people were involved?
Didnt he already admit to doing it? From what I understand, there was an in person confession, text messages, a note saved on a keyboard, and Discord messages.
@DFly2391@RoxysRumble@mattvanswol It’s astonishing that you can’t see this post was simply explaining the situation so we could understand why these guys were reprimanded.
I’m trying to understand what the actual issue is. These restaurants are choosing to pay him and invite him in, and he has a large audience that clearly enjoys this type of content. I don’t necessarily like or dislike it, but I don’t think he should be banned, and I dont think businesses that are willingly participating should be punished.
So my question is, why are you so bothered by what someone else is doing, that's not harming anyone? If you don’t like it, don’t watch it. But trying to harm a business because you personally disapprove says far more about your character than it does about them.
@NathanDDaniels@asaio87 I think this is really more about not accepting what is happening. The way people build and work is changing, and for some, it is harder to accept that shift and adapt. AI is a powerful tool in the right hands, and it is only going to keep improving.
You didnt ask to see his process or workflow, or how he architects and orchestrates the models. Did you review any of his actual work? If you truly did what you’re describing, then that is on you, and it is a major mistake. There are absolutely people out there using AI models to code and build, but the ones who do it well have a very specific process behind how they make it happen.
This comes across less like a fair critique and more like you want to mock “vibe coding” and I hate that term too, while pretending it has no legitimate place. You are wrong about that. This is already happening, whether you like it or not. And if you cannot see how far this has come in just a year, you really do risk getting left behind.
@petergyang Today was infuriating with Claude Code. It has definitely degraded in one way or another. I’ve used Claude Code nearly every day for over a year, so I can tell when something feels off. And when it’s off, it’s really off.
I gave Claude Code a set of questions to answer, and it took more than 35 minutes, used 100% of my usage, and still did not answer a single question. Codex answered the same questions in under 5 minutes. What’s going on with Claude Code today? This has never happened before.
