I read with deep concern the unfortunate incident involving our own Taiwo Awoniyi @taiwoawoniyi18, a resilient son of the soil, who, while giving his best on the field for Nottingham Forest in the English Premier League, suffered a severe injury in the line of duty. It is both painful and telling that, even after colliding with the goalpost and sustaining what has now been revealed as a ruptured intestine, he pressed on, a testament to the Nigerian spirit: strong, unyielding, and ever-committed.
Let us not take this lightly. We must appreciate and celebrate such young men who continue to lift our flag high, even at great personal risk. I call on the authorities, the football community, and indeed all of us as citizens to keep Taiwo in our thoughts and prayers. As he lies in an induced coma after emergency surgery, let us stand in solidarity with him and his family.
May he recover fully and return stronger. And may we build a country where such sacrifice is not in vain, where patriotism is matched with proper care, recognition, and support. I wish him complete healing.
May God Almighty bless Taiwo Awoniyi. God bless the Super Eagles. God bless Nigeria. -PO
I just came across the official results from JAMB showing the recent exam figures.
According to the data shared, a total of 1,955,069 candidates sat for the exam.
Shockingly, out of this number, only about 420,000 candidates scored above 200, while over 1.5 million scored below 200.
This means that over 78% of the total candidates failed to meet the 200-mark threshold — a reflection of the deep-rooted challenges in our educational system.
The latest JAMB results once again highlight the consequences of decades of underinvestment in education, a sector that should be central to our national development strategy.
Currently, Nigeria's total university enrollment stands at approximately 2 million students. By comparison, the National University of Bangladesh — a single university — has over 3.4 million students enrolled, despite the country having only about 75% of Nigeria’s population. One university in Bangladesh surpasses the entire university enrollment in Nigeria.
Bangladesh, which once lagged behind Nigeria in virtually every measurable development index, now surpasses us in all key areas of development and in the Human Development Index (HDI).
Similarly, Turkey, with a population of about 87.7 million people, has over 7 million university students — more than three times Nigeria’s total university enrollment.
I have consistently said it: education is not just a social service; it is a strategic investment. It is the most critical driver of national development and the most powerful tool for lifting people out of poverty.
We must now invest aggressively in education — at all levels — if we are serious about building a prosperous, secure, and equitable Nigeria.
A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

I strongly believe teaching kids from grade Kindergarten to 12 about ESD would go a long way in shaping their actions for years to come. Learn more about the Egbe Eco-renaissance Project

The Naira is finding its proper and natural value because the Central Bank of Nigeria has stopped the practice of defending the Naira with $1.5 billion monthly.
If you want the Naira to rise, don't come on social media to vent. Instead, it would be best if you now defended the Naira by coming on social media with Glo data. Coming to Silverbird Cinemas to watch Nollywood movies. Shifting from Manchester United and Real Madrid to Enyimba FC and Kano Pillars. Eating Dangote spaghetti and washing it down with Chivita juice, and flying home for Christmas and New Year with Air Peace. Only when we #BuyNaijaToGrowTheNaira will the Naira appreciate, not when we come on social media to vent.
Yearning for the #PEPT judges to pass judgment on the injustices of corruption, poverty, insecurity, and the myriad problems plaguing our nation. But it seems our problems lack specificity and are fallacious. lol. #JudgmentDay#Rufai#Lawlessness
The truth is always bitter when we say the truth those affected will be clamoring for neutrality.Kindly controvert my facts.I don’t doctor videos ooo.I state facts! Are these not facts!
True justice transcends the tangible, finding it's verdict not in a 5-man panel but in the court of choice, where the intangible truths of our hearts prevail, and what we saw cannot be disputed. How do #PEPT judge voters' intimidation... ? #PEPTJudgment#RevolutionNow#arisetv

I made a transaction between both banks which was unsuccessful, and despite all efforts to reach you via email or voice calls, you haven't being responsive.
I woke up this morning to the thought that if you KNOW/LEARN the laws and principles that produce results in the area(s) of your goals/aspiration and you follow them religiously, that it doesn't matter the village you are from, you will generate results too with time.
