Remembering senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ji, on his birth anniversary.
A true statesman, he uplifted countless lives through his unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people of Andhra Pradesh. His service to the people will always be remembered.
The news of the landslide in Wayanad is deeply distressing. My heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected.
Relief and rescue operations are underway, and every possible effort is being made to reach those still trapped. I appeal to all Congress and UDF workers to extend any assistance in this time of need.
Wayanad has shown remarkable resilience in the face of adversity before, and together, we will stand by every affected family through this tragedy.
The Karnataka Police has issued comprehensive guidelines for police personnel on official communication with the media and on social media to strengthen accountability, protect the integrity of investigations and ensure that citizens receive accurate information through authorized channels.
Under the new guidelines, only designated officers at the State, Range, Commissionerate, District and Special Unit levels will be authorized to brief the media.
Police personnel have been directed not to issue independent statements, participate in media discussions, share investigation details, internal communications, crime scene photographs, videos or official records without written authorization.
The protocol also extends to social media, prohibiting unauthorized posts or dissemination of information relating to ongoing investigations, intelligence inputs and sensitive operational matters.
