Tonnes of #KeralaWaste, largely plastic waste, used car parts, seat covers & electrical wires, have allegedly been dumped on govt land at Kadayam in Tenkasi district.

This is major incident since the National Green Tribunal, acting on a TNIE report, directed Kerala to take back tonnes of illegally dumped biomedical waste from several villages in Tirunelveli in December 2024.

In the aftermath, Tamil Nadu amended Goondas Act to enable the preventive detention of those involved in illegal biomedical waste dumping.
