PV became PM 27 years after Nehru's death and was separated from him by no less than 8 Prime Ministers, including 3 non-Congress PMs and 6 non-Nehru family PMs. Why didn't they discontinue this so-called "rich people's socialism"?
What economy did Nehru destroy? India had a 12% literacy rate and a life expectancy of 35. It had no machine-tool manufacturing plant capable of producing a precision lathe, milling machine, or cylindrical grinder from scratch.
PV himself said his policies were a continuation of the Nehruvian legacy.
China had the Mao revolution, which killed 3–6 crore people, yet its economy remained much the same until the 1980s, with India briefly overtaking China in 1987.
We built nukes, tested them, integrated all the princely states, Goa, and NEFA, achieved the Green and White Revolutions, established PSUs, won wars, and did a thousand other things that wouldn't have been possible if we had been in Uncle Sam's shackles.
Any option besides the London-educated Nehru were several times more socialist(Bose/JP/Lohia/even Ambedkar Proposed state ownership of key industries and agriculture).
Protectionism was meant to protect Indian industries. You all talk as if we're doing wonders in manufacturing now. We're simply benefiting from the institutions built back then while still importing critical.
Honoured to be a part of the training session for the newly appointed DCC Presidents of Chhattisgarh under the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan in Raipur yesterday (25.06.2026). Strong organisations are built from the ground up, and this initiative reflects the Congress Party's commitment to strengthening its grassroots network. Under the visionary leadership of Shri @kharge Ji, Shri @RahulGandhi Ji, and Shri @kcvenugopalmp Ji, the party is undergoing a robust organisational revival to take people's issues to every village, booth, and district. Wishing all the newly appointed DCC Presidents the very best as they lead this mission with dedication and purpose.

These are the brave sons of India who laid down their lives defending India’s honour and the sindoor of our sisters after the Pahalgam attack.
Their names should have been etched into the national consciousness. Their families should have seen a grateful nation honouring their sacrifice.
Instead, for an entire year, the BJP government chose to conceal their martyrdom from the nation.
The same government that wraps itself in the flag and speaks endlessly of nationalism denied these heroes the recognition and remembrance they deserved.
Such a shame!

Not every problem needs GenAI. Most business challenges require a combination of different AI techniques.
Here's how you can evaluate when to use GenAI, when to consider alternative AI approaches, and when to leverage a combination of AI solutions: https://t.co/Bk1rsNcqh8

Kerala Govt is so generous it gives Tamil Nadu its thousands of crores of GST and doesn’t ask it back during reconciliation.
And now it’s paying for free buses for Tamils.
The total commitments across the industry for chasing AGI are approximately 100 gigawatts, equaling $8 trillion. To break even, you'd need $800 billion in profit just to cover the interest. That's not investment. That's hoping.
The Emperor Has No Clothes: Why the AI Infrastructure Buildout Math Doesn't Work
I have to give IBM CEO Arvind Krishna credit. He's saying what many of us in this industry have been thinking but haven't been willing to say out loud. The math just doesn't add up.
Here's what I'm seeing that's deeply troubling. We're in the middle of another mass hallucination. Just like the dot-com bubble, just like blockchain, just like the metaverse — everyone is convinced that building massive data centers will automatically create massive wealth.
But here's the thing about building infrastructure. You actually have to sell what's inside it.
Let's talk numbers. The planned data center buildout over the next 5-10 years is staggering. We're talking about commitments in the hundreds of gigawatts globally. The capital expenditure commitments are in the trillions. Yet when you look at the actual demand signals, not the projections, not the potential, but the actual consumption patterns, there's a massive gap. These AI companies are betting everything on demand that simply doesn't exist at the scale they're planning for.
Let me be direct. AI services are expensive. Enterprise adoption is slow. Consumer AI is still finding its footing. And the compute requirements being promised by the hyperscalers require a level of demand that would represent a fundamental shift in how businesses consume technology. That's a big ask.
I've seen this pattern before. The overbuilding. The belief that if you build it, they will come. The groupthink that turns critical analysis into heresy. The result is always the same. Companies are going to touch the stove. We're going to see massive write-downs. We're going to see pivots, shutdowns, and strategic reviews. We're going to see companies that spent years and billions trying to be the AI infrastructure leader become case studies in how not to read a market.
The IBM CEO is right. The math doesn't work. And unlike 1999, we don't have the excuse of we didn't know. We know exactly what's happening. We just don't want to believe it because the alternative, being a skeptic while everyone else is piling in, feels like career suicide. It's not. The ones who survive the next decade will be the ones who built for reality, not fantasy.
Wake up. The emperor has no clothes.
As reported by Futurism, Krishna laid out striking calculations: a 1 gigawatt data center costs roughly $80 billion today. If one company commits 20-30 gigawatts, that's $1.5 trillion in capital expenditure. The total commitments across the industry for chasing AGI are approximately 100 gigawatts, equaling $8 trillion. To break even, you'd need $800 billion in profit just to cover the interest. That's not investment. That's hoping.

As usual, the serial misinformation MP is doing what he does best: spreading half-truths and manufactured outrage.
Here are the facts.
A total of 720 students were allotted RC College as their NEET examination centre. Of these, 142 were absent.
Three students missed the examination.
One student, travelling from Magadi, could not get a bus on time and reached the centre late, resulting in her missing the exam.
Another candidate arrived with an old hall ticket belonging to the examination conducted on 03.05.2026, and therefore was not permitted to write the exam.
Only one candidate travelling from the RT Nagar side missed the exam, and the exact reason is still being ascertained.
The Bengaluru Traffic Police had issued public notifications and traffic advisories well in advance.
The BJP MP, who is overflowing with concern for students missing exams for different reasons, was conveniently silent when his own incompetent government allowed more than 22 lakh students to suffer due to NEET mismanagement, paper leaks and chaos, with over 10 students reportedly dying by suicide.
By the BJP MP’s own logic, if a student missing exam today must be blamed on the Congress rally, then Modi and Dharmendra Pradhan must be held directly responsible for the paper leaks, student distress and deaths and must be thrown out of office.
Unfortunately for the empty trunk MP, there are no emergency exits here for him to open and escape through after making a baseless allegation.
AAPiyas have a huge inferiority complex. It has increased after “Sheesh Mahal” Kejriwal’s jail sojourn. Entire AAPiya ecosystem has become negative minded and frustrated unhappy bunch.
LOP Rahul Gandhi and ex-MLA Kejriwal are nearly the same age. Forget walking 3000 kms from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, Kejriwal will likely land up in AIIMS if he walks 6 kms from Karol Bagh to Kashmiri Gate.
AAPiyas should be the last ones to talk about “youth” appeal. They should focus on saving their pathetic govt in Punjab, which they will lose and then face even more irrelevance.
I really hope I don’t have to do this frequently. But, if officers and contractors do not listen and do their job, unfortunately, I will be forced. I appeal to them to do their job properly.
Today, I happened to observe an asphalt work in progress. I was doubtful of the quality. I asked the Commissioner to inspect this asphalt work. Indeed, the work was found to be substandard. Sadly, officer is suspended and contractor penalised.

#TamilNadu: #IUML decides it cannot continue in #DMK alliance
Stating that it cannot continue in the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam alliance under the present political circumstances, the Indian Union Muslim League has passed a resolution to exit the alliance.
The party said that while respecting the mandate given by the people in the Tamil Nadu Assembly election, it had extended support for the formation of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam government and is currently part of the government led by Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay. However, given the current political situation, it said continuing in the DMK alliance is no longer possible.
The meeting also resolved that a decision on future electoral alliances would be taken once by-elections and local body elections are announced.
At the Tamil Nadu state general council meeting of IUML, attended by 480 members, a total of 14 resolutions were passed, one of which formally approved the party’s decision to withdraw from the DMK alliance.
