"You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek."
By the grace of Almighty God, I have been chosen to carry the yoke of Christ, which is simultaneously heavy and light and produces the sweetest fruit in all of creation.
@poperespecter1 You shouldn't use ad hominem arguments against priests (no matter how uncharitable they are toward us). You should delete this.
Respectfully,
A humble sinner and Catholic priest
@WhiteHouse How quickly? "Sending billions of dollars to Israel before we can finish the word 'goyim'" quickly, or "Iran is weeks away from attaining nuclear bombs and using them against us (for the past 40 years)" quickly? There's a significant difference.
@ByzantineYurii Mel Gibson has become quite attached to the Eastern Rites. He has come to the Armenian Catholic Cathedral in LA many times. Even now, during the filming of the Resurrection, he attends the Divine Liturgy at our Armenian Pontifical College.
Breaking: Pope Leo XIV tells states that Catholic Colleges and Universities must teach "sound doctrine" and that it is not enough to teach intellectual truths but they must teach the "Truth that is Christ."
@_CatholicWest This is versus popolum not Ad Orientem. The priest needs to be facing either directional or liturgical East (away from the people) for it to be counted as such. Below is an example of how we celebrate the Divine Liturgy in the Armenian Rite (Ad Orientem)
@WhiteHouse I used to believe this since 2016.
I used to be a staunch supporter of President Trump.
I used to be an immutable defender of MAGA.
I was under the false impression that Trump and his cabinet represented Traditionalist/Christian values.
They don't. Nor the Left. All snakes!
@CatholicArena I guarantee without a shadow of a doubt that my fellow priests would rather die than break the sacred seal of confession. Let them try and violate this trust... they can rip it from our dead hands.
The best Trinity Sunday sermon that I have ever heard:
Priest took off maniple at altar and entered the pulpit for sermon. He said “In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.”
Then he left the pulpit, put on the maniple and led the people in the Nicene Creed.
Sermon Score: 10/10
