Chapman's Ice Cream has just done something EVERY Canadian should know.

Former Maple Leafs goalie and now-retired NHL alumni Jack Campbell reflected on his time playing in Toronto, saying it was the coolest experience of his career and that the biggest challenge was never the pressure from fans or the media, but the pressure he put on himself.

“Playing in Toronto was the coolest thing in the world. Waking up on game day and opening the blinds, it felt like Hockey Night in Canada every single game,” Campbell said.

“Nothing in the media or on social media could ever be as bad as the way I would talk to myself. I loved every second of having the opportunity to play there,” he added.

“Toronto, man, I can’t stop smiling. Even though I would have loved to have been there forever, my time there was the greatest time of my life.

I met my wife there. The friendships I have there are incredible… I’m just really grateful for the fans. It’s one of the coolest things to look back on.”

Jack Campbell has announced his retirement from professional hockey at age 34.

'Soupy' played nine seasons in the NHL, last appearing in 2024, and was an All-Star in the 2021-22 season with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Former Maple Leafs goaltender Jack Campbell has announced his retirement from professional hockey at 34 via Instagram.

Campbell now lists himself as a “former NHL goaltender” and an “identity and performance coach” in his Instagram bio.

During his time with the Maple Leafs, Campbell posted a 51-14-9 record in 77 games, along with a 2.50 goals-against average and a .916 save percentage.

His last NHL appearance came in 2024.
