@cgpov I’m hoping the numbers are better than the estimate above. The current M4 Max MacBooks are hitting 2:30 in RS. M3 Ultra may be previous gen, but should outperform that due to the amount of cores. Either way, it’s all more than usable for most users. Exciting times.
@chrisprice@mbrkhrdt That’s what Kickstarter is for. As a consumer, my expectations are that the product does what is expected of it. Their investors are their problem not mine. If the shit ain’t free, it deserves any and all critiques coming it’s way. Good or bad.
@gregisenberg Most consumers are smart enough to see right past this. It’s the owner / founder of a competing product giving a review. This isn’t anything new and it couldn’t be any more biased. Anyone that watches it and buys a Quest was already on track to buy one.
@TheRikeys Reminds me of Sons of Anarchy. Every patch and vest looked like it was straight off the rack. Nothing sells you on some biker drama like ironed jeans. But that was the least of that shows issues. Pumped to check Asohka out.
@Oddernod Yes! I’m at an age that I can’t even attempt to watch some of these things. A movie looks sick and checks all my boxes, but I check that runtime and know I won’t make it. Damn shame.
@eyedesyn Confused by all of the comparisons to AirPods. They are just earbuds without wires? Not exactly a big swing. This tech is going to be a much bigger hurdle for people to get over. It will happen though in one form or another.
@SamWelkerTV I use a 2019 Mac Pro with C4D + Redshift every day. Lots of GPU power stuffed in it, but more than capable for most use cases. Only real downside is the lack of support. Yeah, they got RS running on Mac a couple years back, but that was about it. Feels less optimized every update
