@StanCollymore I remember you years ago saying how it’s so much better to achieve success through organic evolving growth versus instant £££ trophies. This is 100% spot on. I work with a Man City fan of 50 years who by now literally didn’t care about them winning the FA cup! UTV
@GOWoodward No one booed Jack until he played against us, blatantly dived to get a penalty and then ran to the referee trying to get Konsa sent off. After that it was fair game but genuinely most Villa fans still have a soft spot for him. What would u do if Bellingham did that to you?
Blues fan, came through our academy and has turned into one of the greatest players in the world, we’re allowed to be proud of him. They don’t understand because they boo the bloke who supports them after he’d stuck with them in the championship.
@GOWoodward Vast majority of Villa fans don’t hate him, we fully appreciate he was with us from a child for 17 years. 213 appearances for us and a big part in promotion, and getting to FA &’& League cup finals, plus £100m. That’s so different to a kid playing 44 times & leaving asap.
I’m the football league, I’ve been going every year apart from wars since 1888 and I’ve never seen Birmingham City in my top 5 places but I’ve seen their neighbours (my creator) Aston Villa finish 32 times in the top 5 …. Levels
I’ve been at the same gym for over 10 years, may have seen a Villa shirt in here maybe twice during that time
Like 5 people in a Villa kit today 🤣🤣🤣 out the woodwork
@JerryThe_Berry@avfc_stef That year, the team that won it (i.e you) got relegated. You got to the last 8 of the competition playing 3 League One teams all at home, the mighty Rochdale, MK Dons & Brentford. In the final the Arsenal keeper literally gave you the win, one of your 2 trophies in 150 years 👏👏
For Bluenoses who call the Europa League Tinpot, they got to the last 8 of the League cup by playing L1 Rochdale, L1 MK Dons and L1 Brentford … all at home.
In the Europa League Villa beat Basel, Lille, Fenerbache, Feyernord, Bologna, all away!
UTV!
@harryylindsayyy So you agree you had a bye to the 1/4 finals then? And let’s not forget the Arsenal keeper literally handed you the trophy. But hey, you won a trophy 15 years ago which I respect, shame you can’t do the same.
