We all outgrow versions of ourselves— people we loved, mistakes we made, dreams that never came true. What once felt like rejection becomes redirection. What once felt like loss becomes wisdom. And the anger you carry may simply be love that never found a home.
Lying to yourself:
Erodes self-trust → You can’t rely on your own judgment.
Distorts your “map” of the world → You run into walls you pretended weren’t there.
Replaces authentic self with a “spirit of the lie” → Leading to bitterness, resentment, and a false existence.
Willful Blindness → Stagnation + Worse Reality: By ignoring what you sense is wrong (to avoid discomfort, protect ego, or maintain convenience), you stay in a false, limited reality. This prevents the adventure, pathologizes your intuitions, and lets problems grow monstrous.
"When you start to lose your temper, remember: There’s nothing manly about rage. It’s courtesy and kindness that define a human being — and a man. That’s who possesses strength and nerves and guts, not the angry whiners." - Marcus Aurelius
@GigaBasedDad Monogamy is not the natural state for humans. We are good at a LOT of things. Monogamy is not one of them. If it was natural for us, we'd be better at it. I personally know several OF girls. Some are batshit crazy, some are amazing kind beautiful children of God.
