You don't have to draw a full mech every time to practice mecha. You can just draw assorted mechanical shapes. Work on your compound geometry and construction. Mecha is just a collection of shapes and the better you are at generating pleasing shapes, the easier it becomes.
Definitely this one, the idea that If you don't like doing lineart, you can just not do it. You can just refine your sketch into the lineart.
This blew my goddamn mind, and my art got way better now that I was focusing on more important and fun stuff like colour theory.
i believe in re-reading and re-watching your favourite books & movies at different stages of your life. the plot never changes, but your perspective does.

as an animator i can't stress enough how important it is to take breaks and do activities that DON'T involve drawing
read a book, watch a movie, play a game, learn how to knitt. you'd be surprised how quickly your creative juices get replenished by just enjoying yourselves
