It’s interesting to see a lot of platforms pushing long-form videos, and many big creators are adapting to it.
TikTok is giving certain creators the ability to post 30-minute+ horizontal videos, with plans for 1-hour+ content.
Facebook is following suit, though Instagram is not as of yet.
X is paying creators for long-form videos.
It will be an interesting few months, especially with MrBeast bringing out a long-form Amazon series. Could he be training his audience for it?
Even with this said, a shift is happening in front of our eyes.
WTF YOUTUBE WILL USE AI TO SCAN YOUR LONGER VIDEOS
AND IT’LL TELL YOU THE BEST MOMENTS TO MAKE INTO SHORTS, TIKTOKS, REELS, ETC.
It’s called Suggested Clips.
Bro it even MAKES the Shorts for you
imo just take the suggested moment it gives u and edit it urself but so sick
Tier-list videos never left. It is still one of the best-performing formats across social media.
Why? Tier lists are a proven viral vector. They spark debate and fit almost any topic.
If there's anything you're passionate about, the chances are, there's a banger post waiting for you :)
Examples:
Fitness → rank exercises
Real estate → rank areas
Finance → rank credit cards
Introducing YouTube Hype:
Viewers can ‘Hype’ up to 3 videos per week for YouTubers with less than 500K Subs
The goal of Hype is to give Small Creators a bigger boost
For the first 7 days after you upload a video, viewers will see the option to Hype it
When a video is Hyped, it gets points, and can end up on a new ranked leaderboard on YouTube
The less the subs u have, the bigger the bonus, so the better opportunity for your content to get noticed
This rolls out in multiple countries today
Okay so new YouTube update (worth reading)

YouTube will soon use AI to calculate a viewer's age
It will ignore the birthdate users put when making their account
And instead estimate their age based on user activity (videos they watch, etc.)
If viewers are younger than 18, YouTube will disable personalized ads and restrict video recommendations
Which essentially means you’ll make less money if you have an audience primarily younger than 18
Most Gaming Creators have a teen audience, so I imagine they’ll see lower revenue going forward
Whether it’s CoD, ROBLOX, Minecraft, etc.
Starting August 13, 2025
Not sure how I feel about this rn ngl
But yeah, share w Gaming creators you know
Interesting new YT feature coming soon:
Group videos into "Shows".
Makes it easier for people to watch episodes back-to-back in a specific order, like a tv show.
Or split your videos into different seasons.
YT is already #1 in streaming on TVs, but this will take it further.
YouTube is testing AI-powered search results and an AI assistant to explain the plot of videos before you watch them
It's currently available only for select YouTube Premium users
The only thing that matters:
- Your ability to create
- Your ability to distribute
The more you create, the more you'll learn.
The more you distribute, the more you'll grow.
YouTube Ideation cheat sheet 👇
• A new idea is a mix of old ideas, but not all mixes work.
• If you can’t explain it in fewer than 10 words, it’s too complicated.
• Focus on intrigue, not just algorithms.
• Don’t just copy what worked, figure out why it did.
• Find patterns in viral content.
• Research is king. Creativity is queen.
•Your first idea isn’t for the audience - your 100th is.
Be unique - there’s only one you.
