Found an interesting iOS behavior in WhatsApp:
Answer a call while the iPhone is locked → repeatedly toggle the speaker → eventually the remote participant gets stuck on “Reconnecting” → after some time, the call terminates.
Not sure yet whether this is an AVAudioSession/CallKit/WebRTC race or something involving signaling/rate limiting.
I’m currently investigating the root cause.

I just realized something about the internet that I can’t unsee:
The average person can spend 3+ hours a day scrolling…
…and still feel like they “missed everything.”
Maybe the problem isn’t the algorithm.
Maybe it’s us.
What’s the last thing you saw online that genuinely changed your mind?
The fastest way to get 10,000 impressions on X:
Post something nobody asked for.
The fastest way to get 10 replies:
Say something everyone disagrees with.
Google Play can tell you your developer account is “associated” with another account… but apparently can’t tell you WHICH association triggered it.
As a developer, that’s one of the most frustrating parts of publishing apps.
You can build the app.
Pass testing.
Fix policy issues.
Submit appeals.
Provide explanations.
And then you get another automated reply saying the account is associated with another developer account.
No clear evidence.
No useful technical explanation.
Just another appeal.
Has anyone actually received a concrete explanation from Google Play for an “associated developer account” decision?
I’m genuinely curious how other developers handled this.

I’ve been working on a mobile app with an interesting combination of features:
📞 Default phone dialer
📡 GSM/cellular calls
🌐 VoIP calls
💬 SMS/MMS
💬 Internet messaging
👥 Contacts + call history
Basically, one app handling both traditional phone functionality and internet-based communication.
I’ve been trying to find an existing app that resembles this setup, but haven’t found an exact match yet.
Does anyone know an app that does all of this?
Would love to check out how they’ve solved the architecture. 👀

@iamvishal16_ios Yep, agreed. The first frame is handled natively — the key change was moving the latency-critical rendering/call path into Swift and removing unnecessary Flutter ↔ native work during answer. That’s what helped take it from ~4–5s to ~1s.
4–5 seconds to ~1 second.
That's what happened when I stopped treating Flutter as the answer to everything.
I was working on an iOS calling experience where the first video frame was taking several seconds to appear after answering.
Instead of endlessly optimizing the Flutter layer, I looked at the entire execution path.
The fix was moving the latency-sensitive parts into native Swift.
CallKit.
PushKit.
Swift/SwiftUI.
Native video handling.
Flutter where cross-platform logic makes sense.
Result:
~80% reduction in perceived call-answering latency.
The biggest lesson:
Senior mobile engineering isn't about choosing Flutter or Swift.
It's knowing where each one belongs.
I'm currently going deeper into Swift/iOS while continuing to build production systems with Flutter.
And honestly, the deeper I go into native iOS, the more I understand Flutter.

Can a developer lose their entire Google Play account simply for working for a client?
Apparently, yes.
@GooglePlayDev terminated my developer account for a “Related Account Violation” after I developed software for a client using THEIR Play Console account.
I don’t own their account. I’m the developer.
If working for clients can get developers permanently banned, what are we supposed to do?
I’m asking @GooglePayDevs@Google for one thing: a real human review.
