A lot of talk about chargemasters lately. @mcuban made a damn good point a couple of days ago.
This is ONE CODE on a hospital's chargemaster.
Same procedure - 99213 (OP Est Office Visit Level 3).
Standard Gross Charges - Different costs.
Revenue Codes - Different Codes - it should only be billed with Rev Code 510.
Two different cash pay discounts (blue columns) - one is 10%, the other is 50%.
All of these are facility charges - just for using their facility (whether at the hospital or at a hospital owned clinic). The actual office visit will be billed separately.
Chemo Education is NOT 99213
OBS Treatment Room is NOT 99213
Sleep Study Charges are NOT 99213
I guess once you find this, you can flip a coin, spin a wheel or just hope you get the best price. FYI, hospital outpatient is NEVER the best price. Go elsewhere and fire your hospital owned physician.
THIS IS WHY if you are an employer group and not using RBP, you are simply screwing yourself. Simple as that.
Mad yet?
ONE MORE TIME -- THE CHIEF OF STAFF TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES WHO WAS TRYING TO STAY IN POWER ILLEGALLY-PLOTTED WITH THE WIFE OF A SUPREME COURT JUSTICE WHO COULD’VE ENDED UP RULING ON THE TRANSITION OF POWER -

SCOOP—Russian attacks cut off access to the main warehouse for Novo Nordisk drugs in Ukraine, a source says. All of NN’s insulin in 🇺🇦 is stored there. Unless warehouse access restored, pharmacies only have a couple days of #insulin left. ➡️This is also a crime against humanity.
Dallas palliative care physician and TMA COVID-19 Task Force member Mark Casanova, MD, discusses how making the personal choice to get vaccinated for COVID-19 helps defend the entire community. #TMA#TCMS#VaccinesDefendWhatMatters
@NarramoreOf@AdamEhrlichMD@AmerGastroAssn@CrohnsColitisFn@AmCollegeGastro Recent maintenance biologic Rx- Had to fill out a form with over 70? 1 very small non essential omission despite turning over all recent OV notes with the same information leads to rejection of Rx->45min call-> frustration-> delay of care ->missed dose! #burnout
The #deltavariant surge of #COVID19 continues. While projections show we're close to a peak, it doesn't mean it's over. We must remain diligent to protect each other. Get a #vaccine. Wear a mask. Social distance. Working together is powerful. @dallasnews https://t.co/N4lrcvpFfI
Thank you to all of the doctors and frontline healthcare workers for all you continue to do to keep your communities safe and healthy! We support and appreciate you!

Same over here, @bswhealth. 90% of our hospitalized patients have not been fully #vaccinated and more striking — almost all of our ICU patients (95%) aren’t fully vaccinated. Being clear on the situation can save lives and we are fully committed to keeping people healthy.
Thank you for your support for such a important aspect of preventive health care in the US. Many more lives will be saved by this change to the law. #colorectalcancer Colonoscopy saves lives !@AmCollegeGastro @dhatTX @Texas_Gastros
Last night, my bill to allow Medicare to cover colorectal cancer screenings AND cancerous growth removals became a law. It was a tribute to my father, Rep. Donald M. Payne, Sr., who died from it in 2012. Now, we can save more fathers, brothers and sons from this deadly disease.
Thank you for your phenomenal leadership this year. Your efforts on behave of the @DallasCMS for the health and well being of our Dallas citizens has been inspiring. Thanks for always being a great mentor - cannot believe it’s been almost 20y since I was your intern!
