Question for Autistics: Does the rainbow infinity symbol represent all neurominorities or just autistics?
Historically it was created by and for autistics but lately, ppl have been trying to co-opt it for broader use. Opinions?

@MaxieMoosie @AriCarnielli Neurodar. That's what I've been calling it. I feel like if your autistic you can detect other neurotypes like adhd too. Thus, neurodar.
@danidonovan YESSSS. There are a lot of different things you can try, and it depends a lot on what is causing you trouble.
Here's a basic set up that I've found helpful for daily planning: Top priority tasks, things I want to do, and things I need to do at some point but aren't priority.
To refuse to acknowledge our own privilege while demanding others acknowledge our struggle is hypocritical. How can we ask everyone to do something that we are unwilling to do ourselves?
Just a reminder for marginalized people who hold privilege: When another marginalized group experiences oppression, it's caused by the same system that oppresses you.
@SNeurotypicals@overtallahassee I think it's linked to other conditions where it can sort of be harmful bc muscles don't develop right/that's the cause though? But that's not the case for autism because it's thought to be a sensory thing. Like let us do our thing.
Can we all take a second to appreciate how weird it is that only one major paper (as far as I can tell) is reporting our side on #ColorTheSpectrum, and that it's the Daily Mail?

@SNeurotypicals@overtallahassee Wait WTF. I just read this article. It treated toe walking like it was an actual problem to be fixed. Like surgery was an intervention...??!! NT's are so weird.
@chudsommeleir@eigenvectrix Also while "overwhelmed" may be a bit of a simplification, it's an accurate description. Lived experience will always hold more insight than research.
@chudsommeleir@eigenvectrix First off, https://t.co/VBcHqUXBbQ
The double empathy problem. Also, if you're going to insist on someone else citing resources then you should cite yours as well.

This is my sister. I took a lot of her ABA sessions to protect her. As you can see this therapy had lasting effects on her. She is spending so much energy speaking out. It is painful for her and anyone listening. So LISTEN.
