I am willing to accept every other aspect of this post, but the author is implying that in a very sly manner, NFHS tried to "promote" a narrative of domestic violence in India. "A lot of the additional questions are deliberately worded to elicit a narrative of intra-family violence against Indian women." One does not need surveys to confirm the prevalence of violence against women. And a country must not be ashamed if its shortcomings are made visible.
