As many of you may have noticed, @darvasboxtrader has a huge following and is very active in momentum trading.

He appears to have developed strong skills in identifying trends and taking short-term trades with a high degree of success. 🙏 📈⚡

But let me explain how I see his approach 👇👇

He has himself mentioned publicly that around 60% of his capital is invested through mutual funds (see the screenshot attached 👇).

He likely holds for this MF portfolio for long term rather than exiting based on short-term market volatility. (my assumption)

If I understand his tweet correctly, this effectively means that a significant portion of his market capital is being managed with a long-term, "no-stop-loss" mindset. 🧠📊

The remaining ~40% is where he actively practises momentum trading. And clearly, he is very good at it... and genuinely enjoys the process. ⚡🎯

He is also a full-time market participant and teaches momentum trading through his paid courses. So actively trading this portion of his capital simultaneously keeps his skills sharp and supports his teaching. 📚💻

So, despite how he may appear from the outside, as an active momentum trader who frequently talks about quick trades using stop-losses, I personally see him as someone who is also substantially invested in the market for the long term, with a significant portion of his capital following a "no-stop-loss" philosophy. 🧠🌱

This is only my interpretation based on his publicly shared tweets and my own understanding. I could be completely wrong in my interpretation.

My takeaway is not “follow or not follow his strategy”, but rather:

Go deeper into a successful trader's psychology, temperament, risk appetite and life circumstances. 🧠🔍

Understand what works for him, and what is suitable for you. 🎯 🧠📈
