@POD_Payton Slay was a 2 Nd round pick and he was a better corner than JO. Anybody who pays attention to this team knew Oruwariye was going to be CB2. Coulda had an immediate impact player in Simmons or Brown. This is a must win season.
@Huss23Mike@PrideOfDetroit Compare their college stats and highlights and then tell me who looks like a top 3 pick. Playing in the NFL doesn’t make it any easier. AO and JO are about as apples to apples in comparison as you’ll find. Same size, same speed, same conference. Yet AO’s stats look top 3 Not JO
@KalebBoyer4@PrideOfDetroit He was. Battled injury. Got his opportunities and played inside and outside, zone and press man and just over 250 snaps. Had the highest QB INC % on the team and tied Slay for team high INT’s at 2. The pick he made on Rodgers was filthy in a big time spot. Just like he did at PSU
@kmeinke Meaning, he can do whatever he wants. Like undermine the coach and pop off to the media and socials. Schwartz is definitely the perfect daddy for him.
@RedHourBen Loved watching him bring scenes to life with all of his charisma and classic charm. A fantastic actor who routinely made us laugh hysterically. So sorry for your loss and we offer our condolences for your family.
@ttwentyman with the high level play of 5th rounder Amani Oruwariye who led all Lions CB’s in INT’s and QB incompletion percentage against when targeted last year as a rookie, why isn’t anyone talking about him as a guaranteed starter as an outside CB? He’s earned it hasn’t he?
@LLamorandier If he makes it in the NFL it will be because he has a multitude of releases, strength, and basketball background. I’d love to see him be a slot receiver for us. He seems to like the slot too.
@LLamorandier Oruwariye was our best CB last season and plays zone and press man coverage. He led all Lions CB’s in QB incompletion percentage against when targeted. Also had 2 INT’s including 1 from Rodgers. Trufants a vet. AO has a year of experience. Okudah a green 1st rounder. Who’s out?
@WorldofIsaac Built the best defensive team of all time with cast offs and underdogs. Added the perfect coach in Larry Brown. Traded Chauncey, pissed off Ben, brought in Iverson. It was over after that. Bill Davidson was the key. After he died I knew it would never be the same.
@DetLionBlood 29 million total cap space. Deduct 10 million for rookie signings. Quinn likes to keep 7-10 million in the bank. That leaves 9-12 million to spend. Golladay needs a nice extension. I don’t see a splash signing happening.
