The scholar tries to paint this act of Erdogan as facilitation of Israel. I don't expect this dumb man to know shit about politics except for what his masters in Qom and Mashad dictate to him, but he should know that the Israelis say Turkiye is the new Iran and they say that Syria is a greater threat than Iran.

They much preferred bashar Al Assad as the 'devil they knew.' This entire breed of scholars and media men has instilled a false Iran centric understanding of Syria and the middle east in Pakistan that it's concerning.

As India’s unilateral and illegal actions of 5 August 2019 in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) complete seven years, no amount of rhetoric can alter the internationally recognized disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir or deny the rights of its people enshrined in international law and the relevant UN Security Council resolutions.

The reality in IIOJK remains that a prolonged heavy military presence and draconian laws are enabling India to pursue its demographic engineering aimed at altering the territory’s Muslim-majority status, alongside systematic efforts to silence the Kashmiri people and obliterate their identity.

Hollow and unsubstantiated claims of development cannot substitute the inalienable right of the people of Jammu and Kashmir to determine their own future through a free and impartial plebiscite, as mandated by the United Nations.

Pakistan reiterates its unwavering support for the just struggle of the Kashmiri people and calls on India to reverse its illegal measures, end its human rights violations, and create conditions conducive to a peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN Charter, the relevant Security Council resolutions, and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

How clever to frame it as an anti-Kashmir measure disguised as a harmless regulatory project, without once referencing the Indus Waters Treaty provisions or Pakistan's objections.

The treaty allows a storage capacity of only 10,000 acre-feet, yet the envisaged project would store 324,000 acre-feet which is 32 times the permitted limit.

More importantly, why should Pakistan hand over control of a river legally allocated to it?

The Jhelum feeds Mangla, which supplies the Upper Jhelum Canal – a key component of the Triple Canal Project that irrigates approximately 3 to 3.4 million acres. A barrage on the Jhelum would cripple this system and devastate communities in Azad Kashmir.

As for the plight of Kashmiris, there is much more to discuss: post-August 2019 unemployment surges, demographic engineering through the implantation of Biharis, rampant militarization, and the recent collective punishment in Anantnag, where 3,000 people were rounded up after a policeman was killed. The killing of a police officer in the line of duty is a heinous & condemnable act. But detaining over a thousand people and demolishing the homes of families of two alleged militants amounts to collective punishment that has no place in a democracy.
