@drmngpsecr इस सब का जिम्मेदार कौन है ?2 महीने पूर्व जब मंडल के अधिकारियों समक्ष आ कर गोंदिया इंदौर के मध्य बालाघाट जिले हो कर स्पेशल ट्रेन चलाने के लिए माँग की थी, और सभी स्थितियों से अवगत कराया गया था उसके बाद भी कोई कार्यवाही क्यो नहीं की गई ? महोदय बताइए ?

On 27 October 2026, the Railway Up-Downers Progressive Welfare Association submitted a memorandum to the DRM, Nagpur Division, through the Station Manager, Katangi Key heat burning issues over the Balaghat District & Gondia Balaghat Katangi Section Balaghat Tumsar Branch line

The memorandum sought immediate improvement in train punctuality on the Gondia–Balaghat–Waraseoni–Katangi–Tirodi section and re-inspection of Tirodi, Katangi & Waraseoni stations to review passenger amenities and resolve local issues.

The trial assessed speed performance, efficiency & safety ahead of its induction into service.

A beautiful photo of the Narrow-gauge (2'6") ZE class heading a northbound passenger service over the broad-gauge (5'6") tracks at Gondia, captured by Mark Carter in March 1983. The ZE 9 loco was built by French loco manufacturer Corpet Louvet in 1950.

The Satpura narrow-gauge railway network of which Gondia was an important part, was once the most extensive 2'6" (762mm) narrow-gauge system in the Indian subcontinent, spanning more than 1,000 kilometers (620 miles) across the rugged terrain of Central India.

The first section of the track opened in 1903, connecting Gondia to Nainpur. By 1913, the line reached Nagpur, fully integrating the major trade and administrative hubs of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. As roads developed and India’s Project Unigauge policy gained momentum to standardize tracking across the nation, the slow-moving narrow-gauge network, the entire network has since been converted to Broad Gauge. #IndianRailways #Gondia #NarrowGauge #History

📌 Major demand: Gondia–Indore TOD Special Train during Navratri, Dussehra, Diwali & Chhath, via Balaghat–Katangi–Tumsar–Nagpur–Bhopal–Ujjain–Indore.

Also raised platform expansion at Katangi & Waraseoni and other passenger amenities across the Balaghat–Tumsar section.
