@berkeleyside What a tragedy... After paiying rent based on 2001 prices, tenants are upset that they are slightly inconvenienced and their landlord is attempting to offset osses by building another housing unit.

Why not enforce laws to detract crime instead. Few cities (outside Bay area) have the theft problem that we do... Including cities with high cost of living
