@alliekmiller@karpathy@mvanhorn Hey Allie, I am trying to build something similar for myself but it kinda takes me much longer than I anticipated.
What was the skills/methodology you used to prototype this fast?
deciding where to deploy my apps. currently torn between:
- single cheap server (Hetzner/DO) - run everything yourself, ~$5/mo
- managed platform (Railway/Fly/Render) - push code and it deploys, ~$20/mo
- go full serverless (Vercel/Cloudflare) - pay only when people use it
- Coolify on a VPS - like Railway but self-hosted, free, open source
- full AWS setup (ECS, RDS, CloudFront) - powerful but prepare your wallet and your sanity
what are you using?
AI builders! Do you know about https://t.co/faH5shTOvx ?
You can get an API key and test out many models for free.
For building simple use cases, this is perfect.

A friendly daily reminder to close your Claude or Codex session once you finish a coherent unit of work and start a new one.
Keeps context fresh and avoids weird drift.
Thank me later.

Claude Code lessons after building a few projects:
• https://t.co/FL8cOPYRoJ is the single biggest upgrade. Install it immediately.
• Write or generate the boilerplate yourself → massive token savings.
• Pro plan tokens run out fast, especially with Opus. Plan accordingly.

Deciding on what to write and post is so much harder than it seems from the outside.
- Does every post need to bring value?
- Do people care for small updates?
- Do you post something that you want or a format that you see everyone using?
Nevertheless, I'm working on some hopefully interesting projects.
Will be sharing updates very soon.
