I'm pretty sure it works on each level of awareness level. I call it (not my naming by any means, first heard about it from @spencepawliw): "Show, don't tell". Problem-aware example for traveling: "Hate packing?" โ "Did you have to chose between your 2 favorite dresses last time you packed carry-on?". Right?
When you start with a product that has genuinely unlimited number of angles and customers to target and access to current state of image ads, what's best strategy to launch from 0? 3:2:2:2 per customer avatar with 3 ad sets and wait or pump 40 high quality static images per angle and let it optimize?
Yeah that was a long ass breakdown. You kinda dump you brain live. Maybe a round of review and clearing out would help with keeping it tight. But great breakdown anyways! I decided to do my own breakdown first otherwise I become biased. I googled them, they are basically Everyday Doze/Ryze prototype and they had cereal added later. Also, wiki says they are known for "There's a Reason" advertisement and I'm pretty sure this letter was built off of it. It's 3am where I am now so can't check it rn but will make sure to do it tmrw.
I disagree with product-aware here. Your example is solution aware (they know of different solutions: strips, pens, LED kits). Product aware is "There are different brands of whitening strips, why yours is better" (more potent, natural ingredients/ don't make your teeth as sensitive, etc.). Your ghost copywriter needs to do better job or you need to review it yourself.
Yes bro, analysis is hella good. I'll be dissecting the ads for myself after I'm done with this comment but wanted to point out couple of gems in your thinking:
1) Sophistication level got to the point of trusting faces, not companies. And you nailed it with this saying because we see tiktok shop sales blowing up because of people, not the brands doing ads and it will only go further from here.
2) I'm currently launching higher AOV supplement and you really got me excited about the price justification on clean ingredients and high quality. Will be doubling down on this in my analysis because it's the main source of hesitation for me now.
3) I loved the freedom part and your conclusion about knowing context of things outside facebook/IG/reddit/TT, it kinda speaks to a much larger audiences, something that all customer avatars share inside.. pride, patriotism, family roots, etc.. if you/we learn to tap into this copy will become much more powerful!
I'm very inspired by your progress and hoping you and I achieve great success in this field! Piece!
Been trenching for a while. Here is an update:
I dropped the brand I posted screenshot from because it was a one-time purchase, low perceived value, no path for easy LTV growth. Margins were shit as well. Felts like running marathon with weight attached to you. Not worth it.
Watched goated episode @shauneng with Grayson ๐ and it completely switched my thinking about unit economics. Hence, new brand.
Found a proven problem and couple stores scaling shit out of them on a low AOV. Went all in on store design to position my product as premium and shoot for higher AOV. If it works out, I see path to 100k/day as clear as myself in the mirror.
I think I finally cracked the static image game. Took portfolio of one of the best static image GOATS here, spent 5 hours straight braking down the psychology behind 20 images, trained chatgpt skill, iterated with the feedback loop until 3am, now it spits out FUCKING BANGERS pretty much every time with diversity without references. Pretty insane I must admit.
Used it to launch image ads only in a saturated customer avatar and metrics are fucking fire out of the gate (new store, new pixel, new page, CPMs <$50 in USA). Better than clickbait native image ads I've been struggling with before. Fire copy, fire visuals, congruent, man I love it!
Day 1 of new brand, trenchmaxxing, stay tuned.
@cjfeth How do u analyse batch of 40-50 image ads if only say 3-5 got spend? Only them and mark all without spend as losers and double down on those who got spend and FL?
