🇲🇩🇪🇺 Moldova has opened accession negotiations on Cluster 6 – External Relations, marking another important milestone on our European path.
For the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this cluster is of particular importance, covering foreign, security and defence policy, as well as international development cooperation and humanitarian assistance.
Every step forward brings Moldova closer to EU membership and to a safer, stronger and more prosperous future for our citizens.
Large number of innocent civilians killed in Kyiv as a result of Russia’s brutal attack last night, carried out using all types of missiles and drones.
This barbarism must stop. International community needs to stay united behind Ukraine to achieve just and lasting peace!
Today Moldova opened EU accession negotiations on the first cluster, “Fundamentals” — the core values at the heart of the European Union.
We’re ready to open all clusters and will keep working with the same determination.
We appreciate the efforts of the @CY2026EU to advance the formal opening of Cluster 1 in Moldova’s EU accession negotiations.
This marks an important step forward on Moldova’s European path. Moldova remains committed to reforms and to advancing towards EU membership based on merit.
