Yes, the Romans attempted to destroy the connecting of the Jewish people to the land of Israel by changing its name to Palestine, but look how that worked out for them in the end.

As someone who's been studying and the Torah in its original Biblical Hebrew for years, and the Talmud in its original Aramaic (the same language that Jesus, the Jew, spoke) I'm not sure what Rome translating the Bible has to do with this conversation
