It was our Grow Eastbourne meeting tonight and we have a veggie stew for anyone braving the cold! It’s made mainly from items from our larder that would otherwise go to waste. 😁

Don't forget lego club is on in the cafe this afternoon 3:30-5. Only £1 per family come and be creative and make new friends. Tea and coffee available to purchase if wanted and free squash for children.

FYI, we're open and happy to accept any food donations at the Larder. There's always a need for more so if you're able to help by dropping off some food items (in date), we'd love to have them.
(Monday between 11 and noon or Tuesday between 11 and noon would be best times).

Lots of beautiful fresh produce at the community fridge -- cauliflower, broccoli, blueberries, potatoes, lettuce, peppers, and plenty of pumpkins for some festive meals.

With #COP26 at an end it’s now over to all of us to make a difference. Thanks to the #TogetherForOurPlanet #NationalLottery fund we will be setting up an environmental action hub at Langney Community Centre with lots of events, resources and (most importantly) action.

Exciting news! We had an assessment visit yesterday morning for the Queens Award for Voluntary Service. It’s a long assessment process with a lot of competition, but we are very pleased to have been nominated and proud to have got this far.

Well, we are now the proud owners of a chicken coop - thanks to a very kind donation! We spent the morning (with a lot of help from friends) dismantling the coop and transporting back to Gorringe Road. Watch this space!

We had a fab initial planning session on Wednesday evening, where we had a brief overview of the Langney Community Garden and then broke into groups to discuss ideas. Incredibly, a great many of those ideas overlapped. Here are some of the common themes - what do you think?

We're having lots of fun at our first Messy Play session during Half term week. Sally from Grow Eastbourne is also here with an 'Exploring Food' session.

Lots of halloween masks & colouring today in the cafe. Lovely to see lots of children get creative. Crafts out tomorrow & Thursday 9-2. We still have some brand new costumes for sale now only £3 come and grab a bargain. While there we have lots of delicious cakes as well!
