Corrections create opportunities.

But blindly buying the dip is not a strategy.

Don’t try to catch a falling knife.

If you want to buy the dip, wait for the immediate trend to turn around.

Nobody knows how deep the correction will go. When the market is in free fall, trying to catch the exact bottom is how tons of people blow up. Timing the bottom is a losing game.

So, don’t buy the dip. Buy the strength after the dip. Wait for confirmation of a trend reversal. Look for a higher low, a hold at a key support level, or a reclaim of an important moving average.

Of course, that is still no guarantee that it will work, but it increases your odds of success and allows you to manage risk.

At the end of the day, there are no certainties, only probabilities.

所以它最爱披的皮，永远是平等、正义、解放。听上去全是好词，落到现实里，先盯上的却是管道、铁路、电网、实验室。都是文明社会里最实在的东西：能源怎么来，货物怎么跑，灯怎么亮，科学怎么继续往前走。

普通人听宏大理论容易犯困，你把它换成小区生活就明白了。

有人自己不会盖房，也不愿意学木工、电工、水暖。邻居把楼修好了，他不研究怎么修，他半夜去剪电线、砸水管、堵电梯，然后站在楼下喊：这是为了公平。
