I always forget how small juvenile sleepy lizards are, this guy only weighed 150grams. Needless to say, he was not overly impressed being picked up and measured despite his data contributing to 40+ years of survey data in this area 😂

First of our lizard signs funded by Electranet has been installed! These will be at the entrances to the long term sleepy lizard site, started by C. Michael Bull, surveyed continuously since 1982. Very grateful that an energy company cared enough to make this happen. @GerrutN

Had the absolute pleasure to be invited out to the field with @MikeG_lizards and @lynea_witczak back in November to gather data from these beautiful Sleepy Lizards. I learnt so much about these creatures and how in-depth their behavioural patterns are, I can’t wait to learn more!

This week @Flinders ecology students took advantage of the nice weather to learn how to do in-water fish counts and deploy #BRUVS. The #BRUV team counted 4 little Port Jackson #sharks 🦈under the Port Noarlunga jetty and the UVC team spotted >15 fish spp. along the breakwater🐠🐟
