@depresweirdo You basically said:
"I don’t know where you are seeing they supporting their old game except for actions they took to support their old game"
DLC and free updates are support, you wanting or not.
@depresweirdo@playsmalland You what what sequels are, right? The Smalland team has been supporting Smaland 1(with only free updates, no DLC) for two years now, they are allowed to move on.
And it's a sequel, of course it'll care over major mechanics.
@guselect Nice, I did a very similar setup on UE using UV gradients and positions to tell the shader which color to use!
It's very fun trying to get around not using textures.
I really have to get back on gamedev.
@owl_wisest@Hytale If you play on a server that's probably not needed, but voxel games generally use chunk loading, that load/offload the chunks to your disk. Using a HDD is not optimal for this.
@sats_epicnesdoo @Hytale Most games just have to load terrain at the beginning, but voxel games have to reconstruct the terrain depending on your changes every time you access them. So it's fundamentally different.
@sats_epicnesdoo @Hytale Games like this(Minecraft for example) load/offload the chunk to disk while you roam the world, that's probably the reason. I don't think it's their fault, it's the nature of a voxel sandbox.
@Beastness501@Rebelzize They never done it before, project like OpenMW e Daggerfall Unity, fallout et tu, Fallout London and many others prove they support it.
