It was an honor to attend a reception at the home of @VP and @SecondGentleman celebrating the 32nd anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The @VP spoke powerfully about our intersecting rights and the ongoing work of becoming a more inclusive and accessible society.

There are still over 900 rail or subway stations inaccessible to people with disabilities. Today we launched ASAP - All Stations Accessibility Program - the first dedicated program to make these stations accessible for all. https://t.co/T7s25XhHca
When the ADA was passed, advocate Justin Dart wrote “It is only the beginning. It is not a solution. Rather, it is an essential foundation on which solutions will be constructed.” Since then, USDOT has made significant strides in creating accessible transportation.
