This is my favourite story I've written for MCC. A very cool project that realized gender equity needed to be at the heart of an agricultural project in Zimbabwe. https://t.co/S194WrXC0i
@janessa_allison At least one of MCC's partner orgs has lost nearly the same number of staff, also simply trying to provide some modicum of care to Palestinians. Trying to communicate the level of atrocity to an average person has become impossible, its beyond what most people could even imagine.
This is by far the longest story I've written for work. When I was in South Sudan last year, Mary mentioned she'd been protected by the school, and when I asked what she meant, she shared this story with me. Spoiler: The hyenas didn't eat her. https://t.co/MEAQu8gE6e

Another Ukraine story, this one about much-needed relief that's finally arrived for ~40k thousand people. And the story of Nadiya, who still has an unexploded Russian rocket buried in her rosebush. https://t.co/9tgFlZWtxi
@allisonexander All classes are good (and they got way better at balancing as the games went on) but the choice between a sword, a bow, and chain lightning is not a hard one.
I've learned a lot of people who have lactose issues don't actually know which dairy products contain much lactose. So if that's you, enjoy this chart:
Bonus facts: Any cheese aged more than 2 years naturally contains no lactose.
“For McCracken, the most pressing concern is for Christian men to be seen as the superheroes rescuing the oppressed from injustice. “If Christianity is seen more as an oppressor than a liberator, after all, something else must play the part of liberator,” he fears.
Because these women stand up for themselves against their oppressors, McCracken complains the liberator is “the empowered self.” If women can defend themselves, then complementarian men are no longer the heroes.”

Great piece from @DoubleEmMartin. YFC has failed these kids and failed to love the way Christ showed us.
Nice to see someone connecting these dots explicitly. Non-affirming churches simply will not bring the next generation to the table in the way they desperately need to.
everyone else writing a Disney+ Star Wars show: “the thesis of my show is I played with action figures as a kid and now I get to make my favorite characters do cool things :)”
Tony Gilroy: “the one way out of fascist rule is armed revolution”
@youcantrewind So much of the charm of the Saga is the weird/lame dialogue, but I'm 100% with you on this. I saw someone say that letting SW be a setting and not a genre is the best thing they could have done and I completely agree.
We know you’re occupied with Election Day chaos, so let us help: It’s anti-abortion, not pro-life; pro–abortion rights, not pro-choice; “reelect” doesn’t use a hyphen, and the term you’re looking for to describe US politics is spelled “shitshow.” 🗳️

@ljtwpg I'm no poli-sci major, but I also feel like ranked ballot gives more meaning to each vote when participation is so low. Especially when there are 11 candidates.
I have to think the results would look different if our 37% of voters could have ranked their choices.
It really feels like both candidates that I like best both also have major things that make me concerned about how they'd run things. It's less like "lesser of two evils" and more like "I have to pick a movie before I leave the video store, but nothing sounds good."
We may not feel like we experience too many effects of climate change here in the middle of the continent, but having record-breaking dry and wet years back-to-back is, uh, bad. https://t.co/vLRc9SQEUQ
Love when a gross guy gets to try to rebuild his image on materials about recovering from grossness while downplaying just how gross he was in the first place.
