🧵Hoy se cumplen 8 años de un incidente que sentó peligrosos precedentes en la F1.

El 29 de abril de 2018, VER perdió la cabeza y provocó una colisión con su compañero RIC, mientras ambos peleaban la posición en el GP de Bakú.

A partir del análisis antropológico, identificamos este evento como el punto de inflexión en la construcción del nuevo sentido organizacional para el RB de Horner y Marko, en el que se radicalizó el modelo hacia anular la competencia interna que derivó en el incidente y un proyecto de un solo piloto. Por eso es que, después de ese evento, nadie más pudo competir internamente con VER, como lo hicieron SAI y RIC previamente.

El cambio de paradigma se manejó a través de la gestión de resultados, vía los cuerpos de ingeniería, despojando a RIC de los servicios de Rennie, lo cual precipitó la decisión de su salida.

Posteriormente, más allá de los meros resultados, no encontraron en GAS y ALB la calidad de retroalimentación necesaria para regresar a los títulos, sumado a que tampoco la recibieron de RIC y el propio VER. Ello los condujo a regresar a un piloto de fuera de la academia, experimentado, de gran feedback y de perfil no conflictivo, como PER.

Cuando PER arrancaba las temporadas, con la data de los test trabajados en conjunto con Lambiase, era difícil que pudieran limitar ampliamente su desempeño a través de Bird. Era ahí cuando “ponía nervioso al proyecto VER” y, por eso, en la propia pista de Bakú, en 2023, prefirieron sacar a Max a boxes, antes de repetir su locura de 2018, en perjuicio del equipo.

Cuando venía el paquete de actualizaciones, según “en la dirección de Max”, no era otra cosa que limitar discrecionalmente el rendimiento del segundo garaje vía la incomodidad del piloto con la puesta a punto, creando un contraste narrativo que hacía percibir a VER como un talento generacional. O sea, un producto del marketing sobre el mejor auto, cuya información en gran medida provenía de su compañero, a quien no le permitían optimizarla y aprovecharla para sí mismo, pero fue un diferenciador clave en los 6 campeonatos de esos años.

Una historia que los involucrados trataron de ocultar y que los románticos no aceptan, de la que poco se habla, pero está ahí, en perjuicio del deportivismo en la máxima categoría.

Una historia que le ganó títulos al equipo, pero que también le generó daño reputacional a la marca, lo que derivó en la salida de Horner, Marko, los directores de comunicación, marketing y otros involucrados en su operación, incluyendo la limpia de Lambiase y muy probablemente la del propio Max al término de su contrato.

Hoy no existe más el Milton Keynes de Horner, Marko y sus secuaces, hoy hasta nosotros pudimos recuperar tras años de litigio la cuenta original de @PrimeF1_, porque ya no están aquellos a los que les hacía ruido su información y seguimiento, aquellos que, sin duda, exhibimos cuando ellos controlaban la narrativa y nadie hablaba de ello, los mismos que ayudamos a dejar fuera de ese modelo tóxico.
