@holland_tom I enjoyed the film though keeping the original ending would have been interesting - what they did felt a bit LOTR. But overall very good indeed . I’m not sure if the anti war sentiment is there in Homer but it certainly is in the Greek tragedians .

@hairygit Norwich cathedral always has various devotional pieces in the week before Easter linked to Easter talks etc. often includes a Stabat Mater though more often the version by Pergolesi as that works well with their girl choristers .

@hairygit St Andrews hall in Norwich is now back on line after two or three years closed for refurbishment so I’ve enjoyed being back in there tonight hearing Elgar’s Dream of Gerontius .
