Issue 7 will expand and improve routes while creating a fairer model of funding and governance. Thank you @HamCountyDems for endorsing this important issue!
@PGSittenfeld Mount Healthy Mayor James Wolf makes an impassioned plea for a sales tax to improve the bus system. Says residents in the suburban Mount Healthy pay the highest bus rates and an earnings tax for the "worst routes." "This is going to fix this."
I proudly endorse Issue 7 in support of the @MoveFwd_HamCo initiative. It’s time to fix public transportation using a funding and governing model that is fair for ALL of Hamilton County.
Mt. Healthy Mayor James Wolf has a different perspective. He notes that many Mt. Healthy residents pay the higher, zone 2 fares AND work in the city and pay the income tax. The plan would eliminate differences in fares between zone and repeal the earnings tax for transit.
Congratulations to Mt. Healthy resident Michael Chanak for being recognized with the @HRC David Crowley Leadership Award at last night’s gala!
His activism changed @ProcterGamble policies to include protections for LGBTQ employees.
We are lucky to have you in our City!
Happy President’s Day!
Did you know that First Lady Caroline Scott Harrison lived in Mt. Healthy?
She and her family lived at 7603 Hamilton Avenue while her father taught at the Farmer’s College in College Hill.
Transportation was a centerpiece of my campaign and I will continue to work on this as mayor
“Mount Healthy's mayor leads a city with a lot of working-class and low-income residents – folks who rely on bus service. He's also respected countywide among his Democratic colleagues.”
SORTA levy debacle underscores the political power struggle between City Hall and Hamilton County. I have 15 seats at the table for people who can fix this. Here's the diverse group who'll fill them. https://t.co/7tTYazQRyn
To all those who put your time, sweat, tears & dollars into this campaign: thank you - sincerely.
We commend Stephanie on her victory & will continue to emphasize the need to have a voice from the suburbs on the HCC.
To expand upon the above, attached is a statement from James.
We are privileged to have @DNC Chair Tom Perez in town to rally the troops for today’s primary. There is a #BlueWave coming and I’m proud to be part of it!
